AR046 | House and Home is the long overdue follow-up to one of the debut Aerophonic releases back in 2013 – Boss of the Plains by Wheelhouse. Composed of an all-star lineup featuring Jason Adasiewicz on vibes, Nate McBride on bass, and Aerophonic founder Dave Rempis on saxophones, this album documents the band’s reunion after more than a decade due to the relocation of bassist McBride to Boston, Adasiewicz’s multi-year hiatus on the scene, as well as a global pandemic.
AR045 | Sudden Dusk is the debut recording by the international quartet Archer featuring Chicago-based saxophonist Dave Rempis, and Dutch punk legend Terrie Ex on guitar, backed up by the fiery Norwegian rhythm section of Jon Rune Strøm on bass, and Tollef Østvang on drums.
AR044 | Propulsion is the debut recording by a Chicago-based quartet featuring four stalwarts of the jazz and improvised music scene - Dave Rempis on saxophones, Jason Adasiewicz on vibes, Joshua Abrams on bass, and Tyler Damon on drums.
AR043 | GNASH is the debut record by longtime colleagues Dave Rempis (saxophones) and Tashi Dorji (guitar) as a duo. The genre-less record that results from their totally different approaches is astounding. With no allegiance to any specific orthodoxy, the two create something wholly new from their disparate vocabularies.
AR042 | Truss is the debut of a new quartet featuring Boston-based pianist Pandelis Karayorgis alongside his longtime Chicago-based compatriot Dave Rempis on saxophones, as well as two leading lights of the next generation of Chicago improvisers with Jakob Heinemann on bass, and Bill Harris on drums.
